Procedure (41-55 minutes)
T will write on the board 'What Am I going to pack' and discuss with the Ss what to take on his/her next vacation. Ss will be divided into three groups each one talking to each other for three minutes. Each group can only pick ten items so they have to choose carefully. T will pick the group who has chosen the most essential items.
Pre-teach vocabulary such as (volunteer, photo shoot, conference, got in touch ). Use ICQs with the vocabulary. First, do ex.2a let them look at the photo quickly and write their ideas on their paper first. Then they can check their answers with their partner (PW). For ex.2b first give ICQs (Are we writing?Yes.) and they open the audio file. After they finish individually pair them and let them to PW.Ask the pairs their answers.
To encourage Ss to notice the TL-I'm going to use some questions to help. Ss notice the TL for themselves and think about the meaning. T will ask e.g. Are going to come tomorrow to Class?Yes. Are going to be on Sunday? No. T will tell that we use 'gonna' informal language use.
Ss will undertake a guided discovery task to focus on the meaning, form, and pronunciation of the be going to use. T will give them the GD paper and they will work on it individually and later they will check in pairs. During this feedback time, T boards the sentences and draws a timeline. T monitors and micro-teaches.
T will tell them to fill in the gaps in ex. 3a and check their answers with their partner. Draw schemata on the board writing on one part plan and the other side predictions. Ask the Ss which sentences go to which part(from ex.3a). Give them the page 130 and tell them to read the part 3A. Use CCQ's with positive, negative and question form. T will them to look at ex.4a where they will see the pronunciation of words. Open the audio and after that, you can drilling with them. T will open the audio file for 4b and let them write their answers and they will check the answers in groups.
T will use ex.4c and change their seats. One Ss will have page 101 and the other one page 107. T will tell them to interview each other.
T will ask the Ss to write about the topic 'Where am I going to be in ten years?' Ss will hang their written pages on the boards and everyone will try to guess who that person is by writing underneath it with board marker.
