I will point out that we use this phrase to talk about the place where we live (or born), even if we live in a city. Ask some CCQs. Can my hometown be a city? Yes Is hometown where you live or born? Yes I will say I think Istanbul is a great city to live. And ask "Who else thinks Istanbul is a great city to live?" Ss will reply. Ss will see the presentation (first part including images) as I elicit hometown and some places like airport and mosque that we have in Istanbul. 3 min Ss will write some words of other places that they know in Istanbul. First Ss will write the name of their hometown and at least 3 place that they have in their hometown or they don't have in hometown. What is famous in your hometown? Give a demonstration. Monitor if they undestood what they are supposed to do. 1m Make Ss in different groups and ask them to tell their friends about their hometown. They can ask question if they want? 4m Monitor and give positive FB for their efforts. Error correction if necessary.
