Procedure

Warmer 1 (2-3 minutes) • Introduction

T shares a bit of personal biography. Picture of family I am Jesse Scifres. I am 33 years old. I am from America. I am married. I have 2 young girls, 4.5 and 1. I coach baseball and softball in Gorukle, Bursa. I have lived in Bursa for 4 years.

Warmer/Lead-in 2 (6-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

'Telephone' Game 2 groups Up to 10 times through Ss in a row are asked to pass along a word to their neighbor until the word has been sent to the end of the row. "Please get into 2 groups. S 1 looks at the words. Without showing the paper to the person, tell them the words." (4 min) After each turn rotate starting S.

Clarification (5-6 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Controlled Practice (8-9 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

"Please work alone. Complete the sentences." Ss complete HO1. (4 min) T monitors unobtrusively. "Work in pairs to hear your partners answers. Alternate." Ss in PW. (2 min). Each pair shares 1 answer with the class to check answers. (2 min)
