In this lesson Ss will learn how to use causative verbs(get, have and make). In addition to this the T provides with some materials and handouts in order to help Ss have more practice. After this session Ss will be able to use causative verbs freely.

Procedure

lead- in(2-3) min • to generate interest in topic

T after greeting projects some pictures. T asks the following question: Have you ever done these tasks on your own? if yes when was it? If Ss say NO T asks Ss this question.If you couldnt do this, what would you do? T collects the answers .

presentation • to introduce the target language via some sentences

The teacher projects some sentences and says I can't do these tasks so I need other people's help. but how can I express my needs. I get a mechanic to fix my car.(convinced- persuade) I make my sister wash the dishes.(force) I have the students do the assignments.(request)

T asks Ss some questions to help them understand the main aim of the language. did I do the tasks by myself?No Who helped me do the tasks? when I say I get a mechanic to fix mycar, do I mean I had a request ?yes when I say I make my sister wash the dishes, do I mean I force my sister to do this?yes When I say I had my student to do the task should I give them instructions to do the task? yes Then T drills the language chorally- semi chorally and individually

Clarifiying target language • To clarify meaning of target language and provide controlled practice of pronunciation and highlight form

T puts Ss in pairs and asks them to match some sentences with the photos on the wall. T gives them time and monitors. T collects the answers and asks for reasons. T gives them feed back.
