My Free Time - Simple Present Tense

In this lesson the students will look at simple present tense questions, especially involving the wh- questions.

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Exposer - Hobby Pics (5-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Distribute Hobby Lexis Sheet Student A starts with the cards and asks the question Student A: "Do you like to cook?" Student B: "No, I don't" Etc.

Highlighting - Gap fill (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Clarification - Ex. 7 (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
