  • To provide Ss with practice in writing personal profiles for an online site – Netfriends Worldwide

Subsidiary Aims

  • To give Ss review of and practice in conjunctions – and, but, or – and simple present


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

How often do you use the internet? Do you use social media? What is your favorite application?

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • to set the scene for the text, and provide a model text for the writing stage and to get Ss to read for specific information.

Do you have profiles on social media? How many profiles do you have on the internet?

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

I will ask the students to write a personal profile similar to the one we have read.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

I will ask the students to switch their papers and do peer check. After the peer check we will do whole class feedback in which some students would read their personal profile.
