Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Work alone CCQ: Are you going to work with your friend? No Are you going to work alone? Yes What did you study yesterday? I studied Verb collocation. I studied auxiliary verbs. I studied present and past verb. I studied how and what questions. We talked about our neighbours.

Exposure (12-15 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through listening

I will hand out(1) the target words and tell them to write the present and past sentence for each word. CCQ: Are you going to write a sentence only for present simple? No Are you going to write a sentence only for past simple? No Are you going to write a sentence for the present simple and past simple? Yes To clarifying pronunciation I will show the pronunciation on the board hand out 2 I will drill the target word listen to the pronunciation of the target words Form: I will explain to them how to add regular past verb and I will give and out 2
