Main Aims

  • Listening To provide detailed in the context of five senses.

Subsidiary Aims

  • Speaking :To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of five senses.
  • Vocabulary To provide clarification in the context of five senses.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T Protect a photo on the Board to elicit the topic from the Ss.

Pre-Listening (5-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T Set Ss. in group and give a clear insurrections about the first activity ; Watch the video Ss are to answer the questions: Do you like this poem? What are your favorite things to see, smell, hear, touch and taste? Tell us about them!

While-Listening #1 (3-4 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Pass out Ho ,and ask the Ss. to work in group and give a clear instructions Listen to the poem. Circle the one that doesn’t belong. a. I can see . a rainbow / a whisper / people in a train / a star b. I can smell . raindrops / paint / a scream / food cooking c. I can hear . a whisper / a scream / supporters cheering / a lime d. I can touch . a rainbow / my pillow / bubbles / my toes e. I can taste . cheese / people in a train / a lime / tea

While Listening #2 (4-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Pass out Ho ,and ask the Ss. to work in group and give a clear instructions

Post-Reading/Listening (6-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
