Description

In this lesson,Ss. introduced to reading a short text for gist and detail, including matching sentences, as well as preparing to write through controlled tasks such as completing sentences and analyzing sequencing of daily routines, and writing a paragraph and editing peer work, all within the context of "A day in my life".

Main Aims

  • • To help students develop their productive skill set by practicing accuracy of language, guided writing with model language, process writing by drafting in the context of A day in my life.

Subsidiary Aims

  • Reading To provide gist in the context of a day in my life.
  • To expand student's vocabulary and lexis when writing about there life routines.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T Protect a photo on the Board to elicit the topic from the Ss.

Exposure (4-8 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T Set Ss. in group and give a clear insurrections about the first activity ; Reading for gist Ss are to answer the questions: What is the story about? Who is the story about? Tell students that they should guess who the story is talking about.

Useful Language (5-8 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Pass out Ho ,and ask the Ss. to work in group and give a clear instructions ..Fill in the sentence:1. She is working and -------------in ----------. 2. She walks to------------. 3.
