Description

This is a listening and speaking class. So the students will be working on both, receptive and productive kills. They will listening to dialogues of people asking about money and time. Then they have to ask and answer questions about money and time through the activities and exercises planned.

Main Aims

  • To introduce & extend the Ss' knowledge of time and prices in the context of booking tickets in an evening out.

Subsidiary Aims

  • Listening for specific information to people asking and telling time and prices. Practice speaking in the same content

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

+ Elicit places to watch a movie (cinema), attend a singing show (concert) or see an exhibit (exhibition). + T: Where do you go to entertain?

Exposure (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a recording.

+ Display ads' picture from SB. + Ex 7a: elicit what the ads refer to.

Exposure (5-7 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a recording.

Highlighting (8-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
