Description

In this lesson students learn about verb be and subject pronoun through a dialogue between three people

Materials

Abc Gap-fill E-handouts

Main Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Greetings in the context of Saying hello, Introducing oneself, asking for numbers and addresses

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice of Subject pronoun, verb be in the context of Subject pronouns and be verbs will be learned through a dialogue between three people, numbers, days of the week and greetings will also be learned in this context

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (6-8 minutes) • Get students ready for the topic

Students will be asked certain questions, such as their age, name, address

Diving into the grammar topic (10-13 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Teach students about Verb Be and subject pronoun

Teach (18-22 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Give them some e handouts related to the topic and help them with the areas of difficulty

Test #2 (10-12 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Giving feedback to individual students and summarising the topic

Course book (13-15 minutes) • Incoperate the grammar topic of the day into their listening

Listening to the dialogue and answering the question, making sure that students can differentiate be verbs and subject pronouns when they listen to

Speaking (8-10 minutes) • Get them to speak using the grammar topics learned

Students will be doing some speaking in the breakout rooms and the teacher will be observing and giving feedback if needed

Vocabulary (8-10 minutes) • Teaching them daily vocabularies related. to tech, food, place , numbers, days of the week
Listening (4-6 minutes) • Combining vocabularies and lsitening

The vocabularies will be incepted into listening

End of lesson (5-7 minutes) • Making sure that they understand how to use moodle

Students will be taken to Moodle and will be informed about their Moodle homework, and upcoming lesson
