• By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the new phrasal verbs in the context of home truths
By the end of this lesson ,the students will have had the chance to make oral conversations utilizing the new phrasal verbs
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Ask Ss to discuss these two questions ( write them on the board) 1-Is your home full of stuff you never use? 2-What's your favorite stuff at your home ?
1-Ss will be asked to read the questions from (1-5) in Ex.1 (b).Then Ss will be asked to read the article and answer the questions by ticking the correct sentence and correcting the false one. 2- Ss will be asked to elicit the most important and useful advice from the article . 3-Ss will be asked to compare their ideas
1- Teacher will ask Ss to work in pairs to check the meaning of the phrasal verbs in bold in the article. 2-Ss will be asked to check their answers in page 125 v5.2. 3-Teacher will check the answers with the class.
1-Teacher will ask the students to work individually to fill in the gaps with away,through,up or out. 2- Ss will be asked to work in pairs. Take turns to ask and answer the questions.Who is tidier you or your partner?
- Teacher will give the students the chance to run on their conversations freely without interruption. - Teacher will go through the class room listening to the students' conversations helping them to express the target language correctly. -After the students finish their conversations, teacher will clarify the students' mistakes that he/she noticed during listening to the students'conversations.
