In this lesson , students learn how to take note while they are listening to a track .

Main Aims

Procedure

Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To motivate learners to listen to the audio file.It can be done by showing a picture,song or an extract of a movie, etc.

The teacher will show two pictures and ask students to talk about them.

Introducig the text (1-1 minutes) • To make sure learners know what they're listening.Showing the students the text and introducing the topic.

The teacher will ask the students listening subject and tell them they'll listen and match each person with right item . And ask them to read the text quickly.

Pre-teach vocab (1-2 minutes) • To prevent learners from getting blocked with unfamiliar lexis while they're doing tasks.

The teacher will teech hard words may help students to find answers depending to ss level

Listening for gist (2-3 minutes) • To know the topic of listening part.To get familiar whith the accent, intonation or speakers voice.

The teacher tell them they will listen to 5 different speakers then play the first track and asks students simple questions like : what was the topic ? , speaker tell about himself or another person, etc.

Listening for specific information (4-5 minutes) • To improve listening skills to find specific words or phrases in an audio clip

The teacher ask students to match each item .

Listening for detail (4-5 minutes) • To get better at listening in a particular way.To help students understand and audio clip in detail to find and infer required information.

The techer will play the track again and ask student to write 3 pieces of information about each person.and check in pair if they write as same as each other.

Follow-up (5-5 minutes) • Teacher sets a productive speaking/writing activity to elicit some reactions to the text in a personal, natural way

The teacher ask students to make 2 groups and give each group a handout including students personal characters and ask them to guess at last discuss in class .
