In this lesson, students will learn about the essential qualities a job candidate should possess. The lesson starts with a video showing a scene from " The Pursuit of Happiness" movie. Then the students will read an article about the qualities that will get you hired. Students will relate such qualities to their personalities knowing their points of strength and weakness as well.

Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students will play ring_a_word game. Then the teacher will show ss some pictures of some candidates being interviewed. Student will watch a scene from ' The Pursuit of Happiness' movie. Teacher tries to elicit some ideas from ss about the scene.

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Students will read an article "The Personality Traits That Will Get You Hired".

Highlighting (7-13 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Teacher will show the students some pictures explaining and drilling the target vocab.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Teacher gives further explanation of the new vocab using MPF technique.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Students play a matching game to assess their understanding of the target voacab.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Teacher discusses the passage questions with the students

Free Practice (15-21 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Teacher asks students to create role plays about different job interviews scenarios using Success_Checklist as a guide. During role_plays, the teacher will observe and note the mistakes then telling them after their performance.
