Description

in this lesson. student learn about simple present (negative,yes /no questions and short answers) . the lesson starts with a conversation about different classes in school. This is followed by practice where students complete the dialogues with sentences that are given in a box. Finally there is a practice where they are supposed to make sentences then students do a pairwork.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask student a question to engage them with the context perform a gesture to elicit the affirmative and the negative form of the simple present.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare Ss to identify when do we use doesn't and don't in the simple present

T will provide student with some sentences on board to read and choose the right answer of the negative form.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the negative form

Ss will listen to track 2.11 and while they are doing it , they keep their eyes on the book and the conversation's text. they will see (Do/Does - Don't / Doesn't) in question and negative form and they see how the short forms of them are used. after its finished i will bring up examples about the things that i like and write them on board and write questions using (like). then i write sentences with different subjects. We / don't / .... They / don't / .... I / don't / eat / .... he / doesn't /... she / doesn't / .... you / don't / ...

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • to work on their listening skill

again i will play the track and ask them after i paused it, repeat after it.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to practice and learn better

They do exercises on page 61 then they will check their answers together. they will make sentences about the things they like or not and after that they have pair work where students can read their sentences to their partners
