Description

During today's session, the student shall be able to discuss travelling using the vocab provided; also,the student shall read an article about travelling that can help him/her express themselves regarding the topic. The student shall be able to understand the -ed and -ing adjectives and make his/her own examples correctly. Assumptions: - The student may get confused between -ed and -ing and mix them up together. - When it comes to talking about travelling in general, the students may use the past to describe something general. Problems anticipated and solutions: - There is might going to be an issue with the laptop or they might be none Solution: I shall play the song/ comprehension from my own phone and plug it to the speakers - The speakers may end up not working Solution: Play what’s needed on my phone by gathering them around me and putting my phone in the center - The electricity may go out Solution: I shall work things through using my phone’s torch and speaker - The student may come really late Solution: He/she shall find things already written on the board, they can ask me anything during the break and they can ask their peers also for details.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (9-11 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Every student shall come and write a word on the board and say its meaning

Useful Language (9-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Shall give them the phrasal verb and idiom in examples so they would guess the meaning, then discuss them together.

Productive Task(s) (120-130 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

They shall read an article about a vacation related to our topic, where they can see context regarding travelling activities and I shall ask them quick questions about it. In addition, they will listen to a song to practice their listening skills. For today's activity, we shall have an open discussion through questions that are cut & mixed together. They shall ask each other questions about travelling and shall reply back to one another.

Controlled practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide them practice in the best shape and to enhance their skills

They shall be provided a grammar worksheet to help them understand the grammar fully and where they can be able to provide their own examples
