in this lesson students will learn about restaurant vocabulary, types of foods and meals, and also structures for ordering in a restaurant.also they will learn about different parts off a menu such as an appetizer, main dish and etc

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of language used for ordering in restaurant in the context of ordering food and expersssions realating to it

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Make a short conversation with students about their lunch and asking them some questions such as what did you eat for lunch today? and did you eat salad? so students can get the subject of today's lesson

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

showing pictures of words and ask them to guess them words such as different part of a meal: for example, dessert, show some pictures about 'dessert; and ask them to say the words after that ask students to repeat the words for applying stress patterns and pronunciation

Task (8-11 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Task 1: put the names of the foods in a bag and draw a chart on the board and ask students to write the word under the correct column Task 2: present some conversation models to the students, and after that give them a conversation and ask them to complete them two by two the make students to give peer feedback

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

Ask sharp students of the class to make a two by to conversation based on all materials that have been taught during the session
