To provide specific information listening practice in the context of online shopping
To provide fluency speaking practice in the context of online shopping
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Teacher asks Ss "Do you like shopping for cloths?". Hopefully some of them say "yes". Teacher asks them "What do you prefer? Shopping in shops or online? Why?". Peer check. W/C FB.
Teacher shows the photo (homepage of the website) and gives HO1. Teacher asks Ss to describe and predict. " what do you think you can sell or buy there?" . Peer check. W/C FB. Teacher tries to highlight and elicit some words from the text at the FB stage.
Teacher asks Ss to listen and find the things that you can sell or buy in the website(ex, a). Teacher plays the track and monitors Ss. Peer check. W/C FB.
Teacher asks Ss to read the questions (ex, d) and then listen one more time. Peer check. W/C FB. If the Ss still have difficulty to find the answers or understanding the text, then teacher divides the track to 3 part and repeat each part separately and elicits the answers. If Ss still have problem, then teacher gives them answer sheet.
Teacher explains ex,d and gives HO2. Teacher makes groups of 4 to practice ex,d. T monitors and helps if Ss need.
