Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (8-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T shows Ss an empty calendar, T elicits that it's a calendar and that we use it for days and months. T plays the recording 2: 38 on Ss book page 66. Ss listen to the months and write numbers 1,2,3.... in front of the months in task 1. Ss write the months in the calendar. WCFD T asks: what's this months? What's the next month? what was the last month? WCFD T asks: Which months are summer and which are winter IN Morocco? Ss discuss this in pairs before a whole class feedback.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Ss look at the pictures in the model texts on page 66 T elicits that they are about the weather in different world cities, T divides the class into 4 groups, Each group work on a text. They find adjectives that describe the weather in that place. They also find the best time to visit that place. When they finish they tell the class about their city, Feedback.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T clarifies the meaning of weather adjectives cold, hot, wet, sunny, rainy, snowy, cool. Useful language: In winter, in summer It's sunny, it's hot... T drills the useful language

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Ss write a when to go text about their country. T monitors, help when necessary and takes notes.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T provides feedback and correct ss errors.
