Description

In this lesson, students are introduced to the simple past tense in the context of 'my weekend'. After a warmer, students listen to an anecdote about my weekend in the past tense. Then they practice past tense by a complete sentence activity, followed by a similar exercise. Finally students have an opportunity to practice speaking for accuracy using the past simple. If there is extra time students do a freer speaking exercise.
