Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1- Ask the S : Do u know anybody who lived to be a great age? 2- Elicite answers from the S .

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T-C . - Ask the S to open page 32 and look at the exercise (T 4.5) - Ask the S to read the title and look at the picture. - Ask the S ( what can you see in the picture - do you think the man is old?- Do you know any information about the chip and fish ?

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

T-C . Ask the S to read the questions T 4.5 and then read the tetx and answer the questions. ( you should kow the answers and write them ) - Check the answers (Elicite) Students must provide asnwers . - Feedback ( for reading comprehension - you give the correct answer) .

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T-S . For reading Comprehension .

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
