Description

In this lesson, ss will be a given a context revolving around a travel agency that specializes in "made-to-measure" holidays for small groups. They will arrange a two-week summer holiday for a family group who are celebrating the grandparents' golden wedding anniversary by taking destination, accommodation, possible activities, and excursions, facilities for the golden wedding party. Later on, they're going to speak to each other about the holiday they have planned.

Procedure

Stage 1 (2-3 minutes) • Lead-in

Ss watch a promo video about the concept of travel agency later on through CCQs they describe its functions.

Stage 2 (10-15 minutes) • To set up the task

Introducing the task by giving a background story within a context. ICQ: -You work for a travel agency. You create specific holidays for small groups. You arrange a two-week summer holiday for a family group who are celebrating the grandparent's golden wedding anniversary. -There are 3 types of family groups with different requests and characteristics. With your partner, you're going to create a holiday according to the family group who celebrates their grandparent's golden wedding anniversary.

Stage 3 (5-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Ss will use the expressions by telling the other groups the holiday they planned for their family group.

Stage 4 (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Ss will discuss the holidays with the whole group. Which holiday is... a)the most expensive? b) most relaxing? c) most fun? Which holiday do you think the family will choose? Which holiday would you enjoy the most?

Stage 5 (2-5 minutes) • To give feedback

T takes notes with regards to students' mistakes during the lesson. Correction about these mistakes will be elicited from the students if possible.
