Teaching Practice 3
Elementary level

Description

In this lesson, students learn some rules about articles through guided discovery based on a short reading passage about a person named Ignacio. The lesson starts with students' predicting some pieces of information about Ignacio. This is then followed by students' reading for specific information where students first read individually, answer the questions, and then do pair/group checking. After that, students' attention is drawn to the form of the language in focus by doing an exercise where they are invited to refer back to the reading passage. Drilling will then be followed. Finally, there is some controlled and semi-controlled practice where students first do Ex 2a and then Ex 2b, which is turned into a 'find someone who'.
