Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-Teacher greets everyone -Talks about journeys shortly -Asks sts. about their unusual journey

Pre-Reading/Listening (5 minutes) • To prepare students for the listening

-The students look at the pictures A-F. -The teacher asks which picture represents an unusual journey.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • Listening for gist

-The teacher asks students to listen to the three recordings, then to match each with two pictures. -Gives instructions for the exercise, then ICQ. -Teacher pauses between every track and elicit ideas from sts. - Students listen to tracks and talk about their ideas. - WG Feedback

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed listening task

-Teacher asks students to read the questions and gives them 1 min. - ICQ - Plays the records again and pauses between each track. -Students answer the questions of each track. -Peer check - WG FB

Post Listening (Exercise 3&4) (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to read text related to the tracks

-Teacher asks sts. to read texts in ex.3 and asks them to find mistakes. - ICQ -Students read the texts and try to find the mistakes. - Peer check - WG FB -teacher plays the tracks to point out the mistakes.

Speaking (5-6 minutes) • To create opportunity for sts. to practice the language

-Teacher asks the question in ex.5 - Divides them into groups and gives instructions. -sts. explain which journey is more interesting to them. -teacher corrects some mistakes of the students if necessary.
