Procedure (30-19 minutes)
I will write 2 lies and one truth on the board and ask the students to guess which statement is truth and which one is a lie. I will make sentences about my house to relate it to the context of today's lesson, ICQs: pls tell me which statement is truth and which one is a lie
First, stick the pictures on the board and ask students to match the words with the pictures by sticking them I will start using the visuals I prepared for the lesson through eliciting the answers then getting the students to drill, and for some words I will highlight the stress The vocabulary: Living room, kitchen, bedroom, dining room, fridge, stereo, chair, curtains, clock, sofa, television, cupboard, desk, plants, wardrobe, cooker, pictures and a bed for the vocabulary part CCQS: Is this a kitchen? Do we sleep in the kitchen? Do we sleep on the sofa? Is this a wardrobe? Do we sleep on the floor? Instructions: pls stand up and stick these words on the wall and match them to the right pictures ICQs: Are you going to the write the words on the picture?
I will introduce the following words to the student: Rent flat, Lamp, flatmate By showing visuals
Ex.4 p.36 I will ask the students the questions first and ask them to listen to the audio then answer the question. ICQS: Are you going to listen to match some words?
Ex.1 p.37 I will present the questions to the students and ask them to listen to the audio and then discuss the questions
I will make the students listen to the audio once more and fill in the blanks ICQS: Are you going to listen and say the missing words?
I will present a picture and ask them to speak about it through mentioning its components
