Teaching Plan 2
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to recognize, identify and produce the Past Simple tense including the grammar rules pertaining to this tense.
Students will be able to use the Past Simple in the negative and in question form.
Procedure (31-51 minutes)
Greet students briefly, and explain you are continuing the lesson before you. Mention the word “infinitive” at one point, but do not stress it as students should already know. Write on WB after asking students for examples of the Simple Past.
Students complete a chart conjugating infinitives to the Past Simple, they work in pairs alternating each time. We check answers as a class altogether
Students complete chart #2 and add the verbs into the appropriate boxes, they also add their own verbs.
Students will highlight the verbs they used from the previous activity and all other verbs in the past
Students work alone to complete this exercise, then students check answers with peers
Students make a similar conversation to the one they completed, working in pairs, then T asks for volunteers to read their conversation aloud.
