Gr. (1) verbs with inf. and Vs-ing.
Intermediate. (E2) level

Description

In this lesson, Ss will learn about verbs with infinitive and verbs with ing ending. I will approach the lesson with the TTT method. I will start by putting flash cards with the verbs on them, and then I will ask each group of Ss to categorise them, correctly. Then, I will elicit answers from the groups. I will recategorise the flashcards if there are any mistakes. This will be followed by asking the CCQs in the analysis sheet to make sure that Ss understand the meaning, use, and form of the verbs. After this, to make sure that Ss can identify the verbs, I will ask them to open their books one page 106 of the book (Language Leader-Intermediate), and to underline similar verbs in the text. Afterwards, I will ask Ss to do exercises 3 and 4 on page 153 for the controlled practice. Finally, the freer practice will include a speaking activity related to the article on page 106 "Living to 100".
