Description

In this lesson the student will read and listen a text based on two teenagers wanted to go to Australia for their summer holiday but it ended to find them selves in Canada . The lesson starts with a discussion about travelling.This is followed by vocabulary pre.teaceaing then the student will read the text to guess what happened to the two teenagers and if is it easy to mistake like this.

Procedure

Saluting the Ls (1-1 minutes) • To start the lesson

I will enter the class and say hello to the learners

Lead in (2-2 minutes) • Lead in to generate the interest of the learners in the topic of travelling

asking questions like : Do you travel abroad before? Don't you wish travel out of Egypt ? where will you go ?

TTT (3-4 minutes) • To know the capabilities of the learners

Give the students activity with some words to classify them into there categories ( the words they know / the words they may know but don't sure of the meaning / the words they don't know )

Group working (2-3 minutes) • To share their info. and break the ice

I will make all the learners to make one group to discuss the meanings of the words in the previous activity

Feed back (3-4 minutes) • to the review the activity with the learners

I will give them the feed back for the previous activity of those words which they try to get their meaning in the form of pictures presented on the projector to be easy on them to remember it

read the text quickly (2-3 minutes) • To be easier on them to get the idea of the topic

I will ask them to read in quick to be able to answer my question if the teenagers will made it and reach Australia or not ?

pair check (2-3 minutes) • To share their info. and break the ice

I will ask the to work in pairs and to discuss their answers with each others

Feed back (1-2 minutes) • To interact with the the learner and be ensure that I include them

I will hear their answers and tell them we will see what happened to Emma and Raoul in the end to keep them interested in the topic

read the text again (3-3 minutes) • to help them to solve the activity (b) in the lesson

Ask the learners to read the text again to be able to number the pictures that blow it

pair check (2-3 minutes) • To share their info. and interact with each other

ask them to work in pairs

Feed back (2-3 minutes) • To be sure if the lesson clear to them

check the answers with them

Listen to the text (2-3 minutes) • To enable learners to listen for gist

Ask them to listen to the text to know what happened to the two teenagers

pair work (2-3 minutes) • To be sure that I create save environment for them

Ask them to discuss their answers in two groups (a&b) then shift their answers together .

Feed back (1-2 minutes) • To review their answers

Review their answers

read the text (2-3 minutes) • To develop their reading skill

ask them to read part 5B at p. 112 to know what happened to Raoul and Emma in the end .

Speaking (2-3 minutes) • To enable learners to develop their oral fluency
