In this lesson students will learn present continuous throw different activities and tasks.The class will start by revision.Workbook will be covered too.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To review previous session

This is a warmer activity to engage students.It also helps students to remember what they had learned last session.First the teacher will divide students in to two groups.They will stand in two lines.There are several words on the board related to the last session.The teacher says erase the word “car” the first student who cleans it first will receive on star for his or her group. ICQ:Are you going to do it in pairs or group?

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To study grammer

For this stage my aim is on teaching grammer.Due to the fact that my students are visual learners I prepare some pictures.Teacher will show them the first picture. Point to the girl and says” who’s this?”Then she will say” this is me”.Point to the car and say”what’s this?”SS will say”car or it’s a car”. Then she will say “what am I doning?I’m driving a car.”If it was necessary the teacher will mime driving too.Next she will write the sentence”I’m driving a car”on the board.For other pictures we follow this way.Teacher does drilling and repetition(chorally,in group,in pairs and individually) during this stage

study (8-12 minutes) • To practice and produce the language

The teacher call on student to come to the board.She says a word to the student to mime.Other should say the word(ex:run).Finally the student says (I'm running).

study (6-10 minutes)

The teacher asks to open their book(page81).She will write the page number on the board.First she asks SS to say what they see in the picture.They could say everything as much as they can.Then they will listen to the audio file and color the circle.If it was necessary teacher plays the audio file more than once.Teacher does drilling too.

Activation (10-15 minutes) • To concept check and practice

To practice the lesson more teacher prepares an activity.It’s a productive activity because students will produce the language.In fact this activity is their workbook exercise for this lesson because students don’t like their books a lot teacher prepare it in this way.Teacher divides students in to two groups.There is some pictures like page 79 of workbook.SS will follow the lines and make sentences using presents continuous.Then they will say sentences to the class. ICQ:Are you going to work in group?yes ICQ:Are you going to write s.th?No

Runner and writer game (8-12 minutes) • To practice and produce the language

Runner and writer game The teacher pairs students.There are some sentences on papers outside the class.Each pair has a runner and writer.Runner go outside the class memorize a sentence or sentences then come in and tell the writer to write.The first pair who writes all sentences first will win the game.
