Description

This lesson continues with a similar context to the previous lesson and gives Ss the opportunity to practice the TL in speaking. It also focuses the Ss on possessive adjectives. Ss should know this language, but still need practice.

Procedure

Lead in (3-5 minutes) • To set up lesson context and get the students engaged in my lesson

T shows the class two pics of her family member on WB. T demostartes to Sts that they have to ask her questions about the pics to know more about them: What's his name? how old is she ?.... T writes the answers on WB as Sts asks. T then asks Sts to guess who are they?.

Listening for specific information (5-10 minutes) • To listen and fill in a table with personal information

T:shows Sts pics of Elena and her family on the WB. T Asks students to look at the pictures of Elena and her family on projector. T: Asks the following questions while pointing at Elena's and her family's pics. What's her name?. T Points at Marie's picture. Is she Elena's mother? What's his name? Is he Elena's father?. T Points at Alfredo's picture. What's his name? Who is Alfredo?...etc. Ss answer the questions. T hands over fill the gaps and points at the table and explains to Sts that they have to listen to (T 4.6) and fill in the table. After Sts finish. T asks Sts to check answers in pairs. T checks answers with Sts and write WB as open FB.

Gap Filling (3-5 minutes) • To practice possessive adjectives

T Shows gives Sts fill the gaps HO. T the students HO2 and drawing their attention to the table at the top of the HO. T: Elicits the first answer. T asks Sts to work in pairs and fill the gaps.provide open FB

controlled Practice (7-10 minutes) • To ask and answer questions about family members' personal information.

T give some Sts HO A and the other Sts HO B. T demonstrates to Sts that A Sts have to ask B Sts the questions that are in the top of their sheet and B answers when Sts A finish asking Sts B start asking questions that are the the bottom of their sheet .

Free Practice (7-10 minutes) • to practice speaking about family members' personal information

T demonstrates to Sts that now they have to do a similar activity to lead in. But now they have to talk about their family members. T tells Sts to use their phones and choose a family member they want to talk about and move around the class and listen to their peers and talk about their family members.

Find someone who ... (5-10 minutes) • To provide a further practice of TL

T gives Sts demonstrations on how to do the activity and tell to find someone who has the info that's on their cards.T gives Sts family cards and questioner . T tells Sts that the one with most person with answers will be the winner.T monitors . Feedback and error correction after the activity
