In this lesson,students will read a reading passage through guided discovery based on.The lesson starts with some questions about pretending someone else.This is followed by asking the students about Martin Guerre' s film, The Return.Telling the students look at the film poster.then, they elicit the ideas about film

Procedure

Stage 1-Warmer/Lead-in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Warm up students with asking three questions -Have you ever pretended to be someone else? -if you didn't see your boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband for eight years; would you recognize them when they return -Why might a person pretend to be another person for one evening?

Stage 2-Pre teach vocab (5-7 minutes) • To provide the students learn new vocab from the text

-Divide them into pairs -Give a hand out activity about target vocab(e.g:try,began,deserve,manage,pretend,claim,seem,refuse -Check the answers in pairs -Elicit meaning the other vocab (imposter,court,arrested)

Stage 3-Prediction about the text (10-12 minutes) • To predict an idea about the text and a short speaking activity about the topic

-Ask the students if they watched this film before or not -Divide the students into pairs -Tell the students to look at the poster of film -Elicit the ideas about this film

Stage 4-Reading for prediction (2-4 minutes) • To encourage read the task for prediction

-Tell the students to read the text alone. -Monitor them when they are reading -Check the answers if their prediction is true

Stage 5-Reading for specific information (8-10 minutes) • To practice reading for detailed comprehension and understanding the text in depth

-Tell the students read the text again -After reading tell the students look at exercise 3 -Divide them into pairs and tell them complete the sentences 1-7 with the phrases a-g -Check the answers

Stage 6-Post Reading (2-4 minutes) • To develop oral fluency by providing an opportunity to react the text

-Tell the students look at exercise 4 -Tell the ss discuss them with their pairs -Check the answers
