Vocabulary, Grammar & Speaking
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Teacher shows a famous persons' photo and students try to guess personal information about him/her. What's her/his name? Where's s/he from? What's her/his job? How old is s/he? Is s/he single/married?
Teacher shows the photos of Dieago and Grace to students. Teacher gives the the students "Exercise-1". Students work in groups of three. Students discuss and try to guess personal information of these people. Students take notes on the handout. After they finish teacher asks and elicit some ideas onto the board.
Sts listen to the track "3.8". They check if their guesses are correct. They discuss with their groups. Groups compare their guesses.
Give sts "Exercise-2" Have learners read the information on the chart first to see if they can remember anything; Ss listen and fill in. Get Ss to check answers in pairs. Monitor and see if they need to listen again. If they do, play again. Reflect the answers on the board. Sts check and correct their answers.
Give Ss time to make the questions in "Exercise-3" and Ss check their answers in pairs. Check answers on the board and drill. Ss are given a profile card and 4 personal information they need to find (exercise-4). Ss must ask each other questions based on traits they need to find and answer questions based on profile card. They note the names under the questions. Teacher monitor, but only intervenes as needed and takes notes for some delayed error correction. Take some general FB, then put errors noted on the w/b and elicit corrections.
