Description

In this lesson students learn about the simple present based on lesson shape b based on the audio and text. The lesson starts with a warm up to identify when where and how. then we go to the audio. the student will try will correct the question and hear for the man’ s answers. they will listen to another audio recording and listen and write the questions related to when, where and how. will skip speaking part of the sheet and go to the preparation and task where they will be involved and pair and group word which will end with grammar and speaking about what students do the most.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Put pictures of when where and how on the walls to help the students understand this words. Ask them to make about 3 groups of 4. give them pieces of paper containing words that fit in each category they can even be pictures. give them instruction to place pieces of paper where they belong and give each group paste to make them stick on the wall. This will help students get to know the words and connect them with the sentences.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Have them to listen to the questions on the audio. AsK them to correct the answers in the sheet and direct them to say the answers of the. Listen again.ask then listen to the next audio. write questions in relation to the audio. ask and answer questions in PW.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

give hand out to students to highlight the questions with the simple present.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

sk the question “do you work”? in contrast with “do this today”. write the two sentences and give pictures to each of do.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

ask and answer questions that where used in clarification to help them with preparation in the semi controlled practice.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

pair groups to use the 5 groups of questions and answers that will be used in the free practice.

Free Practice (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Pair work in groups to use the do simple present with variety of words they have learned fro the past.
