Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will ask them about their future and their jobs. they have to answer my questions by using like , hate, avoid and other verbs.i will bring some photos related to jobs to raise interest to talk. questions are like these: what do you like to be in the future? do you like playing football? do you hate watching tv? what are you good at?

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will give them the text to just see ..

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will choose some sentences and write them on the board to make them understand we are going to talk about verbs and ing and to..not the text., I will put some blanks related to the text and I ask them to complete it.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

according to the text, I will ask some questions about it . e. g 1_ do we use gerund after prepositions and phrasal verbs? they answer yes according to the text. 2_ do we use gerund as the subject of a sentence? yes. do we use gerund after some verbs like : love, hate, like , mind......? about infinitives I will ask do we use infinitive after adj? yes. do we use infinitive to express a reason or purpose? yes. do we use to after some verbs like want, try, decide, learn....

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

they will do page 147 at the end of the book which is about ing and to

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Page 79 we have some sentences that they should speak in pairs part f and d.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

they will do page 79.that there are some blanks they have to fill them in. and using ing or to.
