In this lesson SS learn about giving opinions; I agree- I disagree. This is followed by using words about technology in meaningful sentences. Then learners revise using adjectives in meaningful sentences.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T. provides learners with pictures of tablets, smartphones, video games and smartwatches. encouraging learners to ask about them. Demonstrate: What do you think of this tablet? I think it is good.What about you? I agree/ I disagree

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

T. encourages learners to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of a smartphone. Demonstrate: I learn English online on a smartphone I disagree. you don't listen in class with a smartphone.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

T. clarifies the difference in using it is and they are. Encouraging learners to use them correctly. Demonstrate: What do you think of tablets? They are....... What do you think of a laptop? It is.............

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

T. provides a worksheet explaining that SS are going to work individually. Then, SS check in pairs. Finally T. provides feedback.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

SS are provided with different pictures. T. explains that they are to ask for and give opinions about the object/ objects.
