in this lesson Students will develop their fluency and accuracy speaking through a range of conversational activities in the context of friendship and will learn question forms in past and present tenses.The lesson starts with a song followed by a discussion about friendship. then student will discuss in pairs using specific questions to collect ideas about the topic.after that, i`ll provide Ss with the useful language do i`ll give them a task to match then classify the questions in a table then ask them to ask their friends in the class to find someone who is the same as you. Finally, there will be a discussion about their best and worst memories with their best friends followed by a feedback and correction for their mistakes

Main Aims

  • To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation and asking questions

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide practice and clarification of question forms in the context of friendship
  • To provide fluency discussion about friends
  • To provide review of past and present tenses and aspects


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • to generate interest in the topic of the text

i will start the lesson with a song about friendship, and I will use it to start a discussion about this topic.and ask them to listen and find out it`s topic.

preparation (5-7 minutes) • to give learners time to prepare ideas on the topic

This will be done through a friendship discussion: i`ll give them conversation questions handmade written task and divide them to A,B and ask them discuss without showing their questions to their partners.

Useful Language (5-8 minutes) • To provide, highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

i`ll ask Ss to match the beginnings of the questions with the endings then check together then feedback with me. then work together to classify these questions in a table of tenses then check answers with the whole class ,then MPF for some questions

Productive Task(s) (8-12 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice speaking

I`ll give them task to ask their friends some questions which i`ll give to them and ask them to add 2questions to find out who is the same as you. then ask them to work in pairs and ask each others about their best friend and they can use the questions from the matching EX.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

I will write some sentences with mistakes on the board and ask them to identify the errors and correct them
