Description

in this lesson students will learn about types of hair. ow to describe hair color and length. they will also learn new vocabulary such as beard and mustache . the meaning of blond and fair hair .they will learn it through realia and pictures. then they will practice what they learnt in different exercises. the first one is a puzzle then a listening exercise then finally they will practice speaking as a freer activity to describe their hair to each other.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of the different colors and types of hair in the context of hair types.

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of the use of have/has got in the context of hair types.
  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about hair types and colors in the context of hair types.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T Plays a song video about hair in general. Then he asks the students what the video was about. Then tells them that today's lesson is about hair.

Exposure and highlighting (5-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

teacher uses realia (dolls with different hair colors and a beard and a mustache to elicit the words from students.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

drill the new vocabulary chorally and individually, stick the words next to the pictures

Controlled Practic (8-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

t tells the students to look at the handout and try to do the puzzle. then they will listen to the recording and choose the correct answer.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

t asks students to describe each other's hair.
