Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of Facts about natural world in the context of The world around us

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide gist and scan about some information in a text speaks about facts of the natural world

Procedure

Lead-in (5 minutes) • To generate interest in the topic of the lesson.

T, will tell the studets i will play a video and i want you to watch and tell me what this video is showing and provide some examples if you can. Elicit some ideas from the students and provide some from my own.

Gist task (5 minutes) • To ensure Ls are comfortable with thw

I wil delete the title and ask the SS to read the whole passage and come with a title work individualy After they finish reading discuss in pairs in thier choice. Elict some ideas from the students.

Highlight language (3 minutes) • To highlight the target language (TL) in context.

#Provide the students with the title of the text in the P.P and what kind of words can go under them #And provide definitions with examples Ask the students ccqu's to make sure the students understand.

Clarifying language (meaning, form, pronunciation) (7 minutes) • To provide clarification of meaning of the TL 2-to provide the form of the TL 3-To provide clarification of the pronunciation of TL

Show the students some pictures and elict the meaning of these words and check that they understood . Ask the students to devide the words in the correct place in the table. Discuss in groups of three Show them the answers on the P.P

Practice and feedback. (5 minutes) • To provide an opportunity for Ls to use the aTL 2-To praise good use of TL 3-To correct errors in TL use

#Ask the students to read again quickly and true to find the false one (freer practice) individually #Discuss in pairs and share ideas. #Provide them with the answer. #Ask the students to discuss about the most intresting fact you found . Elict answers Provide feed back of using the language.
