in this lesson students learn about comparative adjectives through a story about football game first the lesson is set and students are asked a question about their favorite team when they are fully engaged they go through the article to read the text to get familiar with the target language .

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

first before i give the students paper i ask them a question about their favorite sport and if they think their team is better than other teams.

pre-teach essential lexis from the text (3-5 minutes) • To eliminate vocabulary distractions

i give them some definitions related to the words in the text students try to match the words with the definitions

students read and asnwer the comprehension questions (5-8 minutes) • To ascertain students understanding of the context

i give students the paper which is a story about football game between hawks and eagles students read the story and the try to answer the question about the story

direct students attention to one example of the target language (3-5 minutes) • to focus students on the target language

i write a question on the board about the better team and how they are different and ask student to find the answer in the text and focus on the form

highlight the form of the target language (5-7 minutes) • to give students guidance on how to build the form

i give out a paper and ask student to separate short adjective with long adjectives after that i give them another paper to write the adjectives in the table and write the comparatives as well

drill the target language (5-7 minutes) • to give students help with forming sounds

i give student a paper which contains examples of the target language and teach students the form

Controlled Practice (3-5 minutes) • To consolidate the meaning , form , pronunciation

i hand out a paper with contains practices and questions of the target language i give students time to answer them then i check to see if they're true
