Warmer/Lead-in (6-8 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher will start with assigning group work to students.He will give handouts and tell them to read the text and fill the text with the verbs in the box.

Test #1 (5-6 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Teacher will show them two pictures. He will write at the top/bottom of the pictures- He works from 9:00-12:00 everyday and we're sitting by the pool. Then he will ask SS - Which sentence is about his everyday life? Which sentence is only about now? What does he do everyday? What he is doing now?

Teach (8-10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Teacher will give handout to the SS. He will ask SS to complete sentences with verbs in the present simple or present continuous

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Teacher will ask SS to get into pairs. SS can get to know each other about their hobbies and interest of their partners. Then each person will introduce his/her partner to rest of the class. SS will use simple present when they will describe.

Free practice (10-11 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Teacher will ask SS to talk about their daily routines. Teacher will ask them to write after the talk. SS will share their write ups. SS will use simple present.
