Description In this lesson ;students will talk and write about family tree .The lesson will start with eliciting the relationship of people in the family tree and their marital status .This will be followed by grouping and pairing work where students will write the names of the family tree in the correct place in the family tree with further controlled practice where students from one group will ask the other group to find the missing information .Finally,there will be some freer practice where students will write a paragraph about their family tree and discuss with the other group .At the end i will put the best one on the wall and discussing with them.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

i will show them a famous family tree to discuss to prepare them to the lesson

exposure to the target language (8-10 minutes) • To provide a modal of the target language and prepare students for controlled practice .

project on Enrique and Elena's family tree .Elicit from students what is it ? . Ask questions like : is it Samir Ganm's family tree ?. whose family tree is it ? is it Alex family tree ? . are Enrique and Elena married ? in this we go through the whole family tree, eliciting the relation ship of the people on it. controlled practice listen and number the people above ask them to listen then number the people above in order that Alex talks about them .Check the words in bold, then listening and answer the questions who ?

speaking (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

ask them to write in the name's of at list six people of their family in the family tree then divide the class into pairs and ask them to talk about their family tree using useful language like I've got two sisters and brothers and ask me for any wards they don't know .divide the class into small groups A and B show their family to other students , tell them about their family using language B like who is this ? etc .

Feedback and Error Correction (2-3 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

i will ask them a few questions to make sure that they have the ability to speak and write efficiently

writing (8-10 minutes) • to provide students freer practice of Tl

students will work in two groups and take it in turns to write a paragraph about their family . then they will discuss it with each others . finally i will put the best paragraph on the wall or a table to read and discuss with me .
