In this lesson SS will learn question tags and practise how to use it in a correct way.

Main Aims

  • By the end of the lesson students will be provided and practised the form of question tags in the context of murder.

  • By the end of the lesson SS will be received variety of listening exercises in the context of murder.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets SS T shows a photo of Jack the Ripper T elicits the word murderer

Exposure (7-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T delivers HO and tells SS ''you are gonna listen the first part of the interview with ,an expert on Jack the Ripper.Put a cross the person who the interviewer says is Jack the Ripper'' T asks ICQ'S T monitores and decides whether she plays the record again or not T gives FB T delivers the second HO and tells ''Listen to the second part of the interview and mark the sentences true or false.Correct them if they're wrong'' T asks ICQ'S T monitores and decides whether she plays the record again or not T gives FB

Highlighting (6-8 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
