in this lesson students will be able to talk about someone they admire .also they will know some new characteristics like ( ambitious - courageous - imaginative - etc ) . also they are going to learn some useful language to help them in talking about some one they admire .

Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a discussion in the context of talking about someone you admire.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification of some positive characteristics and some new words to help them to talk about someone they admire


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

# I will set the context of the lesson by telling them what the lesson talks about . # then i will ask them could they talk about someone they admire . # if they have some problems in talking i will give them an example talking by myself . # let them discuss in pairs

presentation and practice (15-17 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

# clarifying some words or characteristics by asking some question and eliciting some answers . # answer ex 1.b to individually then discuss in pairs make sure the students understand the meaning of these words and make discussion in their answers . # make discussion about someone has these characteristics in pairs . # answer ex 2

Useful Language (5-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

# clarify some phrases may help them talking about someone they admire # ask some questions to be make sure that they understand these phrases # be ready to answer questions they might ask .

Productive Task(s) (12-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

# ask them to do the speaking task . # first give them a few minutes to decide who they will talk about . # think about some basic facts about this person . # write some notes about what they want to say ask me if they want any help . # let them discuss in pairs and get ready to answer any question they might ask .

Feedback and Error Correction (5-7 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

# give the students feedback on their speaking in pronunciation and language models if they have . # answer any question if they asked .
