To provide gist and detailed reading practice using a text about pets
By the end of this lesson students will be practiced specific words about pets and used them in a right context.
Procedure (34-45 minutes)
The teacher will display a picture of herself with a pet and give SS an idea of what the lesson context is going to be about.
The SS will be shown using different ways of eliciting the keywords to give a clear picture to the students and make the reading easier for them. - Psychologist -Reptile -Intelligence -Reflection -Rabbit
-The SS will be asked 3 questions in the exercise 2a and they will be asked if they are true or false - Then, students will be asked to unfold the text and read it individually and check if their assumptions were true or not and then they will pair check -FB the T will check with her SS if the statements were correct or not. -
-The SS will be asked questions made by the teacher about the text -They will work individually. Then, they will pair check. -FB answer keys will be given to check their answers.
SS will be asked if they adopt/have adopted a pet before They will discuss together and will come to the board if time allows
