To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of time expressions
Procedure (33-45 minutes)
The students will be asked open questions about their lives to set them up well for the lesson and engage them.
The students will be given index cards to work the ex1. They will be required to match each card has a question in A lists with a line in B and an answer in C. The students will work in pairs and the winners will be given points to motivate them.
The form of the target language (WH-questions & open questions) will be written on the board and clarification will be provided with examples. The Ss will be given handouts highlights the targeted language.
-Students will be divided into groups and they will be required to pick the correct preposition that fits each sentence written on the board. The fastest group with the correct answers will be the winner.
-The students will work in pairs and try to ask and answer each other the questions in the ex4. Each pair will be asked to come on the board, and ask and answer each other. -The students will be given a listening task and they will work individually and thick the sentence they hear in the ex6. They will pair-check and the will listen again for the feedback.
The students will be given the opportunity to express themselves freely using the questions in ex4.page 57. The teacher will monitor and help if needed.
