In this lesson plan students are going to learn some linker words to explain reasons throughout some exercises. Later in this lesson they will practice using functional language for giving reasons in a speaking activity. The lesson is student centered.

Warmer/Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

* put them in pairs and give them different pictures related to the previous lesson * ask them to find the answers * check the answers

Test #1 (6-8 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Teach (10-10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage
