Procedure (32-45 minutes)
Referring to the previous lesson quoting some CCQs.
I am going to distribute HO on P.71-1a. I am going to ask the Ss ''What problems do they have?'' I am going to play the recording for once for gist. I am going to give some time to answer and check in pairs. I am going to monitor and give WCFB using the whiteboard.
I am going to write some 6 vocabularies on the board showing meaning, form, pronunciation. I am going to drill the target vocabulary. -wear (v) = put on - dress in for clothing. -pop out (v) = go somewhere for a short period / out the building # pop in (v) -come off (v) = become separated / break up -plumber (n) = who repairs bibes. -sort out (v) = find out or understand -typical (adj) = perfect
I am going to distribute HO p.71 - 1b to the students before playing the recording for the second time for more specific information. I am going to ask the student to answer these question. - What ideas do they for? a- lunch? b- stopping the flood? c- Ben's shirt? The Ss discuss in pairs. I am going to ICQs. I am going to monitor and help the Ss with difficult vocabulary. I am going give WCFB.
I am going to ask the students to think of this situation : 1- You have people coming for dinner and the cooker is not working. 2- You 5 years old son is locked in the bathroom and the handle's come off. - Have you been in such situation? What did you do to solve it?
