Description

In this lesson students Will learn " so and nor or neither". The lesson starts with questions and answers. We Will find similiar or unsimiliar ıntresets among students. This is followed by telling agrreement or disagrrements using 'so or nor' . Finally we Will finish lesson via a final role- play speaking activity.

Materials

Main Aims

  • To teach and practice in context the grammar and use of the words 'so' and 'nor / neither ' in English, for discussing things one person has in common with another.

Subsidiary Aims

  • Speaking practice in the context of finding out and discussing things in common, listening for specific information.

Procedure

Introduction: ıntroducing myself and the topic. See students level of understanding. (3-5 minutes) • To teach 'so and nor or neither'

First, ı will introduce myself, so that Ss will have some information about me. Then, I will introduce mu lesson and the topics that we will deal for the lesson.

Grammar discuss (8-10 minutes) • Practice on so and nor

Students open page 6 . Then we will listen tapescript and we will find common and incommon sentences on the tapescript. They will use 'so and nor or neither '.

Matching Activity (8-10 minutes) • Ss practice short answers with 'so and nor or neither'

I will write important things and people's name on the board. I will ask them if they have and ideas or not. And I will give them some information about them. Then they will match sentences using 'so and nor or neither".

Playing the game (8-10 minutes) • To use ' so and nor or neither"

I will write sentences on board. And they will fill in the blanks. And they will match their sentences using bingo cards. The şair who will finish the game will be winner.

Speaking (8-10 minutes) • Learning common or incommon interests

They will work in pairs and ask questions. They will answer using 'so and nor or neither'.
