in this lesson, students will work on their fluency by different kinds of speaking activities. and and the exposure par willt happen with a short reading .class starts this way, T tells a story and the rest of the story is with Ss to complete it ,they have parts of the story they have to organize them. then there are two versions of story for present tense Ss are divided into 2 groups and read them then they mingle and tell each other the story and decide which one was false teacher will give them new pics and they try to write their own story in groups and then they share their story with WC.

Main Aims

  • by the end of the lesson, my Ss are ableTo provide detailed reading practice using a text about biography of Oprahin the context of story


Warmer/Lead-in (1-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T tells a story about Oprah but tries to elecit the story as much as she can. teacher tries to use synonyms, mime and pictures to elicit.

Exposure (8-12 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

each student is given a piece of reading that is the rest of the story that teacher didn't cover so Ss will have 1 minute to read their story and then they will stand up and by talking to others they will find the correct order pf story and then each one reads it out loud to check if they are in the right order or no. Ss will sit and T gives each Ss another part of the story that is for the present time. some of them have correct version and the other wrong version after reading i for 30 seconds. T divides them into 2 groups and they start to check if their story if correct or no. then hey mingle with other group and talk about their story. at the end WC decide which version is correct.

Useful Language (3-5 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T provides a time line of the story by pictures but again Ss are divided into 2 or 3 groups and start to stick correct reading part to correct picture. and they quite understand the difference of past and present tense and try to be more accurate when they speak.

Productive Task(s) (5-7 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T shows 2 different pictures and divides Ss into 2 groups . each group starts to wrte their own story according to the pictured time line and they check with their group. each member of each group sits with the other group and tell each oher their stories that has 2 pars of past and present. delayed FB.

Feedback and Error Correction (0-1 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T will have delayed FB .

Flexi (5-7 minutes) • to practice more

T shows time line of Oprah one more time and wants Ss to memorize it in a short time .then 3 chair with their backs on the board will be there and 2 Ss will see the board and others wont some pictures of Oprah are shown and Ss decide to tell their partners to write with past or present tense. Ss read their writings and other group correct them.
