In this lesson students will learn vocabulary about daily routines through vocabulary S based activities and improve their reading skills throughout a prepared reading activity about daily life of an actor.

Main Aims

  • To provide gist, scan and detailed reading practice using a text about Behind the camera - am actor's life in the context of Interview with an actor about his daily life

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification of Daily routines and times of the day in the context of activities during the day and times of the day


Lead in (5-10 minutes) • Make Ss interested in the topic

1-Putting pictures of the daily activities on the board 2-seperating students to groups and giving them a matching handout and asking them to match the words/phrases to the pictures on the board 3- a WC activitie to make sure they understood the vocabularies 4- giving an answer key

Pre- Reading (10-15 minutes) • Giving an overview to the students and encourage them to follow

Asking students in groups what they think about an actor's routine life in different times of the day. Giving them the reading and letting them read it quickly. Having a WC feedback

While-Reading #1 (5-10 minutes) • To think about the daily life

Getting students in groups. Showing picture of an actor, asking students what they can see meanwhile explaining the unfamiliar words in the reading, asking each group what they think about an actor's life.

While-Reading #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

-Giving each student a T/F handout and asking them to answer the questions. -work in pairs and check the answers and re write the false sentences - giving an answer key and checking the whole class for a feedback

Post-Reading (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Getting a general feedback and talking about an actor's life, if time, showing another picture and talking about it
